Obituary of David Ahern
David Patrick Ahern, 80, of Parker, CO, passed away peacefully with family at his side on December 9, 2022.
Loving Husband of the late Jeannette Ahern. Father of David (Luz Fery) Ahern of Bogota Columbia , Stephen Ahern of IN, Kimberly (Dan) Ahern - Wills of Parker CO. Grandfather of Zachary and Garrett Ahern. Also survived by his sisters, Judith Macauley of MA, Denise (Bill) MacCurtain of MA, Mary (Dick) Holmes of NH, and brothers Walter Ahern of AZ, and Jimmy (Peggy) Ahern of MA. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Roberta Ahern, wife Jeannette, sisters Roberta & Donna Ahern, brothers Robert & Kenneth Ahern, and babies Robert & James Ahern.
Dave was born October 13, 1942 in Carney Hospital in South Boston Massachusetts to Walter and Roberta (Campbell) Ahern. He married Jeannette DeStasio on May 5, 1962 in Massachusetts. David served in the Air Force four years, attended Northeastern University achieving multiple professional certifications, & worked with Texas Instrument supply company & J.S. Heaton before becoming an entrepreneur of his own business the “A5” company.
Dave was a devoted husband, loving father, son, brother and uncle. He was the lively voice of Parker Trail Riders horse shows for many years, an active member of the Colorado Arabian Horse Club as organizers of the Estes Park Annual all Arabian Horse show, and a founding member & President of the Spring Valley Golf Men’s Club. He enjoyed golfing, biking, equestrian events, and country dancing with the love of his life, Jeannette.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Spring Valley Golf Club 42350 County Road 17 21, Elizabeth, Colorado.
