I'm so sad to hear about the loss of Patty. Mitch and our son, Walker, were the best friends in their younger days, and I got to spend a lot of time with Patty at baseball games, the basketball court, soccer field and the ski slopes. She was a wonderful lady!! We are sending prayers of comfort and love.

Patty and I have worked together for many, many years at Heritage Title Company. She was truly one of the most caring,
selfless, inspiring people I've ever known. We worked together doing volunteer work as she was an integral part of Heritage Hearts , which is the employee volunteer program at HTCO. She's been a part of that committee for over 10 years and Ronald McDonald house was always her passion. She served many a meal at RMH, always with enthusiasm and a smile on her face. One of my favorite memories of Patty was when the HHIP committee went to an animal rescue for farm animals in Parker. As our group was listening intently to the owner of the non-profit, a goat decided to start eating Patty's skirt. She looked down and we all just started laughing, including Patty. She found such humor in everything and no matter what life threw at her, she never lost hope. Losing her son was one of the hardest things I've ever watched anyone go through but she never lost faith or gave up hope. She is truly an inspiration to others and my heart hurts for her family.
I could not be more thankful that God put Patty in my life. She was such a help to me in so many ways as I dealt with issues in my own life. Patty, you are loved more than you know. Gordon, Sean and Mitch, please know you have the support of so many and your mom was incredibly special. My condolences, Connie Malonson

Patty had a heart of gold. She loved her family so well and was always serving others. We sat through many baseball games together and had lots of talks. I was blessed to know beautiful Patty. She lived out her faith and was truly a joy to be around. Praying for her sweet family, she loved them so.

I didn’t know Patty, but know the Burns family, mostly through my brothers. The Kelly’s and Burns’ families were both large Catholic families in St. James Parish and grew up together, forming life-long friendships. I am deeply sorry for your family’s loss, of both Patty and Mary Ellen. It is unfathomable to lose two family members so close in time. Even though the Burns family and the Kelly family grew up three blocks apart, I did not get the joy of meeting Patty(Patty was 4 yrs older)until I moved into Parker Colorado 23 years ago. I ran into her at the Parker King Soopers and we both stared at each other and I said you’re a Burns, and she said you’re a Kelly. I used to love seeing her, we would talk in whatever aisle we met in for like 10 or 15 minutes. I would see her a few times a year and she always put a smile on my face.
When my son died six years ago at 23 years old, Ponderosa Valley Funeral Services took care of everything. Steve Trevino was the best. Godspeed to the entire Burns family
