Obituary of Steven E. Carroll

Steven (Steve) E. Carroll, 65, of Elizabeth, CO formerly of Fort Collins, CO died on March 22, 2021 after a
short battle with cancer. He was born on May 24, 1955 in Fort Collins, CO and was the son of James H.
and Patricia A. Carroll. He graduated from Fort Collins High School and attended auto mechanic school
at Larimer County Vo-Tech Center. He worked as a mechanic on heavy construction equipment for many
years until his retirement. He worked on several big projects such as: the Eisenhower Tunnel.

He married Renee Reed in 1978 and was later divorced.

Steve was a kind-hearted and generous man. He could carry on a conversation with anyone, and was
very willing to reach out and help anyone in need. He enjoyed beer, gambling, “hot rods”, and spending
time with his family. He loved watching his grandchildren grow. He enjoyed traveling to favorite places
such as: Las Vegas, NV; South Dakota, Hawaii, and Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his siblings: Ron Carroll (Brenda), Jim Carroll
(Doris), Lela Glick (Ron), Rick Carroll, and Dave Carroll (Sandy). In addition, he is survived by two
daughters: Michelle Owen (Cody) of Elizabeth, CO and Vanessa Carroll (Dustin) of Winter Park, Florida;
and four grandchildren Kyle Owen and Katie Owen of Elizabeth, CO and Keegan Blankenship of St. Peters,
MO and Autumn Tracy of Winter Park, Florida. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins,
nieces, and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, feel
