Obituary of Todd C. Vogel

Todd C. Vogel, 38, of Parker, passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2012. Todd was born on March 27, 1974 in Iowa City, Iowa to Roger and Sandy Vogel. He loved sports and especially enjoyed playing and coaching baseball and football. Todd attended Simpson College in his hometown of Indianola, Iowa, where he was a member of the Storm baseball team. Simpson was also where he met his wife, Erin. They were married August 24, 1996. Todd's teaching career began in the Science Department at Southeast Polk in Pleasant Hill, Iowa, where he also coached baseball and football. Todd and Erin relocated to Parker, Colorado in 2001. After the move, he taught in the Science Department at Grandview High School, coached football and baseball, and eventually became a Dean. Todd's career then took him to Chaparral High School in Parker, where he served as a Dean, and then Assistant Principal. Colleagues considered Todd to be an up-and-coming World-Class Leader, who was highly respected, and a deeply knowledgeable administrator. Simply, he was "irreplaceable." Todd is survived by his loving wife Erin, and daughters Ella Jo (6,) Sydney Elizabeth (4), twin sons Quinton David and Walker Lee (2), his mother Sandy, and sister, Amanda. Todd is preceded in death by his father, Roger. A private Prayer Service will be held on Monday, September 3, 2012, 6:00 p.m. at Ave Maria Catholic Church.A A public Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, 5:30 p.m. at Southeast Christian Church, 9650 Jordan Road in Parker.
