Loran Bourdo

Obituary of Loran Timothy Bourdo

Loran Timothy Bourdo, 58, of Parker, CO passed away at The Denver Hospice in Denver, CO, on November 21, 2015. His courageous battle against colon cancer was an inspiration to all. He was born October 20, 1957 to John Lorin & Joanne (Mocek) Bourdo in Toledo, OH. Loran married Pamela Ann Blizzard on March 17, 1978 in Phoenix, Arizona. Both attended Arizona State University. After college, Loran started his own satellite systems company: Westek Distributing, Inc. From there he worked for Echostar, Peak Technologies and ScanData. After decades of working as an entrepreneur, mentor, and businessman, he finished his career as President and CEO of Auto AutoWash. Loran loved tinkering with anything and everything. If it was broken, he'd fix it. If it wasn't broken, he'd find a way to improve it. He enjoyed rebuilding and working on vintage cars, a hobby that began soon after he got his drivers license. His latest rebuild was his legacy car: a 1969 Firebird 400, the same model he drove in high school. He has passed the car on to his son, Lorne Bourdo to complete and keep in the family. Loran also loved being Captain of Seas The Moment, a Hatteras Motor yacht with his wife, nicknamed Admiral ZZ. Together, over the last six years, they sailed up the east coast from Miami to Chesapeake Bay and back down to Fort Lauderdale. Along the way, Loran and Pam created many memories with friends and family. A man of many trades, his further hobbies included: woodworking, home projects and remodels, landscaping, golfing, cheering on the Broncos and smoking meats for family barbeques. Loran's passion in life was to provide for his family and friends. Loran is survived by his wife, Pamela Bourdo of Parker, CO; daughter Kristina Bourdo Moulder and her husband Thadius Moulder and grandchildren Aija, Joppa and Elijah Bourdo Moulder of Ostego, MI; daughter Erynn Bourdo Albert and her husband BrannDon Albert and grandchild Cecelia Albert of Parker, CO and his son Lorne Bourdo and his wife Devany Bourdo and grandchild Lorn Bourdo of Centennial, CO.
